In April 2025, Smith Entertainment Group announced the much-anticipated, multi-phase process to transform Delta Center into a state-of-the-art, dual-sport venue and anchor Utah’s NBA and NHL franchises in downtown Salt Lake City. The transformation will introduce a revolutionary seating system that maintains a close-to-the-action experience for Jazz games and affords full views from every lower bowl seat for NHL games. The arena bowl will also be elongated by 24 feet, and the event floor raised by 2 feet to enhance the overall fan environment, and better accommodate two distinct professional sports experiences. The renovation plan also preserves Delta Center’s famous game-night atmosphere while bolstering its reputation as the premier destination for concerts and entertainment in the region. Upon ultimate completion, the building itself will debut a new main entrance and outdoor plaza that provides a vibrant experience for ticket holders and downtown visitors alike.
