Over the past several weeks, renovations inside Delta Center have entered a new phase of construction as crews transition from demolition to rebuilding the structure of the lower bowl, as the countdown reaches less than 100 days until we welcome fans back for another season of action.
The multi-year transformation that began this offseason is an extensive inside-out effort that, in the current phase, is focused on the lower bowl and event floor. Renovations underway will change the geometry of the arena bowl to optimize hockey sightlines, add capacity, and enhance the overall experience by raising the event floor by two feet, expanding the bowl footprint, and laying the foundation for a revolutionary new seating system. The system features a custom riser structure that is engineered to move both side to side and up and down and will allow for full sightlines from every seat in the lower bowl during NHL games, while preserving the close-to-the-action feel that Jazz fans know and love.
