Utah Jazz Private Label Brand CounterPoint Launches Capsule Collection during Hawai’i Training Camp. Available now for pre-sale, the collection is a design collaboration with Hawai’ian artist Sifa Heimuli and named “hō’ike i ke aloha” or “show love”

A portion of proceeds from sales of the collection will be donated to the Maui Strong Fund.

SALT LAKE CITY (October 4, 2023) – CounterPoint, the private label apparel and lifestyle brand from the Utah Jazz, today launched its presale of “hō’ike i ke aloha” (meaning “show love”), a capsule collection designed to celebrate the Utah Jazz training camp taking place on the Hawai’ian island of Oahu, where the Jazz face off against the Los Angeles Clippers on Oct. 8 to open the 2023-24 pre-season schedule.

CounterPoint Creative Director Calyann Barnett collaborated with Hawai’ian native artist Sifa Heimuli on the collection to incorporate design elements that capture the essence of island heritage, including the Island Note featured on the hoodie, by designing the mountains behind the palm trees to depict Diamond Head, a recognizable summit near Waikiki Beach. Various motifs and floral patterns adorn pieces in the collection to represent the tropics, the ocean, and various flowers native to the state of Hawai’i, as well as the islands of Oahu and Maui. The tagline “From the Mountains to the Ocean,” which adorns the “Aloha Tee,” was inspired by John Cruz’s  popular song, “Island Style.”
