Delta Center Renovation Update

This summer marked the start of a major transformation to Delta Center. The arena floor was raised two feet, and the lower bowl was rebuilt with a new riser system, removing obstructed views for hockey while preserving the great basketball sightlines fans already love.

The video linked below captures a milestone moment: the first time ice has ever been built on the new ice floor slab. It also highlights the progress on a new seven-level, 450-stall parking structure at the back of the arena, which will open for the 2026–27 season.

The arena transformation began this summer from the ground up, and future phases will focus on other areas, including the concourse, plaza, and upper levels of the building. Delta Center reopens in just two days, and this is only the beginning of the arena’s next chapter.

SKELETOUR WORLD TOUR 2026 DATES REVEALED

General On Sale Begins October 3 at 10am Local Time at ghost-official.com

Ghost by Ryan Chang

“GHOST are a global phenomenon — a rare feat for any rock or metal band in the last two decades” — CONSEQUENCE

“Outside the Garden before Ghost’s show — which featured a set piece in which Forge, dressed as an evil pope, seemed to levitate — a sense of devotion was palpable among fans. Showgoers streamed out of Penn Station dressed in Ghost-themed costumes, including skeletal face paint, papal robes and nun habits…” — THE NEW YORK TIMES

“If you are not prone to pearl-clutching, there is a lot of perverse pleasure in GHOST’s music” — THE NEW YORKER

“A band that’s still gaining momentum more than a decade into its career” —NPR

“The rock band is at the top of their game… The energy was palpable, and while a lot of that is due to the rabid nature of Ghost’s fanbase and the hype of seeing a rock band in Madison Square Garden, not having a phone out during every song made that giant room feel a lot more connected” — PEOPLE

“GHOST are killing it” — STEREOGUM

“They continue to do their brand of occult rock better than anyone else, and certainly on such an impressive mainstream level” — VICE

“GHOST’s rise to the top ranks of global music, and its popularity among Gen Z listeners, is a testament to how the once-ironclad boundaries of musical genres are eroding in the age of streaming” — THE WALL STREET JOURNAL

GHOST has confirmed that its SKELETOUR WORLD TOUR will continue to pack arenas in the new year, with today’s announcement of 20 new North American rituals kicking off January 21 at the Kia Center in Orlando, FL and running through February 23 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.Tickets for U.S. dates will first be available via Citi and Verizon presales (details below). The artist presale will begin on Tuesday, September 30 at 10am local time. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale starting Friday, October 3 at 10am local time at ghost-official.com.

The SKELETOUR WORLD TOUR has featured the live debut of songs from SKELETÁ, GHOST’s sixth psalm and first to reach #1 on the Billboard 200. Released April 25 via Loma Vista Recordings, SKELETÁ’s #1 debut marked the first time a hard rock album topped the US album chart since 2020 — and also saw #1 debuts in the GRAMMY-winning theatrical rock outfit’s native Sweden as well as Germany, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland and

Finland. The coming of SKELETÁ was heralded by three singles/videos that trended Top 10 on YouTube, as GHOST garnered #1 spots on TikTok’s #NewMusic, iTunes and Amazon’s Best Sellers. First up was “Satanized”—dubbed a “catchy goth-rock epic” by VICE, followed by the “Lachryma”—a fixture on Spotify’s Viral Charts, both globally and in key territories like the US, UK, Germany, and more deemed “economical, vicious, and contemporary, but tinged by ‘80s rhapsody” by PASTE and “phantasmagoric” by REVOLVER, and “Peacefield,” the monolithic anthem opening both the new record and GHOST’s massive 2025 live rituals.

Having sold half a million tickets and counting, the SKELETOUR WORLD TOUR continues a North American swing that included GHOST’s historic first-ever sold-out headlining show at New York’s Madison Square Garden on July 22. With GHOST and its melodramatic and surreal ritual experience in higher demand than ever, the SKELETOUR WORLD TOUR 2026 will further expand the GRAMMY-winning Swedish theatrical rock icons’ community to attract their largest and most diverse audiences to date. From lifelong disciples to the curious uninitiated first-timers to the outcasts and others who find solace in it, all are welcome to escape the travails of daily life and to become one with the enthralling GHOST ritual.

Continuing a tradition that “demonstrated just how simple, and wonderful, a screenless concert can be” (BOSTON GLOBE), SKELETOUR WORLD TOUR 2026 will be a phone-free experience. Phones will be secured in Yondr pouches. Guests maintain possession of their phones at all times.

GHOST also recently unveiled an enthralling new limited edition version of the chart-topping SKELETÁ, available at Target. This unholy relic is pressed on special Violet Mist vinyl, and housed in a silver-foiled SKELETÁ box that includes an exclusive GHOST T-shirt design, and features a collectible Papa V overlay. Pre-Order now or pick a copy up starting on Halloween.

Citi is the official card of the SKELETOUR WORLD TOUR. Salt Lake Slam to Host Exciting Men’s Basketball Doubleheader at Delta Center on December 13, 2025

Local programs from Utah State University and Utah Valley University to compete against Illinois State University and University of California, Santa Barbara

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – [9/23/25] – Basketball fans will want to mark their calendars for Saturday, December 13, 2025, as Delta Center, home of the Utah Jazz (NBA) and Utah Mammoth (NHL), in Salt Lake City welcomes elite college hoops action. The day will feature a doubleheader event – the Salt Lake Slam – matching Utah Valley University with University of California, Santa Barbara, and Utah State University with Illinois State University.

This event, organized by Russ Potts Productions, Inc., offers a great opportunity for local fans to see some of Utah’s best programs compete all in the same arena right before the holidays. The first game features Utah Valley, a rapidly ascending program from the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) that was recently in the NIT, pitted against UC Santa Barbara, a consistent contender from the Big West Conference with its own history of NCAA Tournament bids.

“We’re thrilled to bring Utah Valley basketball to Delta Center for the Salt Lake Slam. It’s an incredible venue, and our players are excited for the chance to compete on a stage that has hosted so many great moments in Utah sports history. This event is a great opportunity to showcase Utah Valley basketball on a big stage, and we can’t wait to represent our university and community,” said Todd Phillips, Utah Valley Head Coach.

The Utah Valley Wolverines and the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos last met on the hardwood 17 years ago when both programs showcased competitions that left fans eager for more. This season’s contest promises to reignite that intensity, as UC Santa Barbara brings its tradition of West Coast excellence to face a Utah Valley squad known for its grit and determination. With both teams hungry to make a statement, this long-awaited reunion is poised to deliver an unforgettable chapter in their basketball history.

“We’re very fortunate to be part of the Salt Lake Slam at Delta Center,” said UCSB Head Coach, Joe Pasternack. “It’s a first-class event, and an incredible opportunity for our program to compete on a big stage.”

The second game of the doubleheader will spotlight Utah State, a perennial power in the Mountain West Conference (MW), who brings a record of NCAA Tournament appearances and a strong fanbase to Salt Lake City. They will face Illinois State, a program from the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) with a history of postseason berths, including multiple NCAA Tournament and NIT appearances.

“We are extremely excited to be a part of an incredible day of basketball at Delta Center,” said Utah State Head Coach, Jerrod Calhoun. “Illinois State is a strong team which will be picked at the top of the Missouri Valley, and we are excited about the opportunity to play them in such a great college basketball environment.”

The upcoming contest between the Utah State Aggies and the Illinois State Redbirds marks the first meeting between the programs since 2014, renewing a series that dates back to 1983. In their seven previous contests, Utah State holds a narrow 4–3 advantage, adding extra intrigue to this year’s showdown. With both teams eager to tilt the series in their favor, fans can expect a high-energy battle from tip-off to the final buzzer.

“This is a great game for our program as it affords us the opportunity to play against a perennial NCAA Tournament team in a premiere basketball venue,” said Illinois State Head Coach, Ryan Pedon. “I have great respect for Jerrod Calhoun and the program he coaches. I know that we will be tested in many ways, and this is exactly what we want. We are excited to bring the Redbirds to Salt Lake City and are grateful for the opportunity.”

“We are thrilled to announce this non-conference doubleheader taking place at Delta Center. Four strong programs will showcase their talents in the Salt Lake Slam and make for a great day of basketball,” said RPPI President, Zach Franz. The Salt Lake Slam on Saturday, December 13th will be followed by a third game as part of a separate event featuring Utah vs. Mississippi State in the Salt Lake Showcase.

“Delta Center has established itself as a premier venue for basketball at every level, where some of the game’s greatest matchups have come to life,” said Chris Barney, president of commercial and revenue strategy at Smith Entertainment Group. “The Salt Lake Slam offers our community the rare opportunity to witness elite programs compete, celebrate our local teams, and experience the unmatched atmosphere that makes Delta Center one of the most iconic basketball destinations in the country.”

Salt Lake Showcase Brings Premier College Hoops to Delta Center on December 13, 2025

University of Utah to Battle Mississippi State University in a Marquee Match-up in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – [9/16/25] – Salt Lake City, Utah is set up to be the top college basketball hub on December 13, 2025. Delta Center, home of the Utah Jazz (NBA) and Utah Mammoth (NHL) will be hosting the University of Utah and Mississippi State University in the Salt Lake Showcase – an elite contest, organized by Russ Potts Productions, Inc. The matchup will follow the Salt Lake Slam doubleheader event featuring Utah Valley University vs. University of California Santa Barbara and Utah State vs. Illinois State.

The Utes of the Big 12 will face off against the Bulldogs of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) in what promises to be a thrilling, high-stakes game just before the holidays. With passionate fan bases and strong early-season momentum, Utah and Mississippi State will bring an electric atmosphere to Delta Center, setting the stage for a highly anticipated non-conference showdown.

“We’re excited to play Mississippi State later this year in Delta Center,” said Utah Head Coach Alex Jensen. “I think it’ll be a great event for the community and our fans. Not to mention we’ll be able to test ourselves against a well-coached SEC team as we head into the final stretch of our non-conference schedule. I want to thank everyone over at Delta Center for being great partners and allowing us to use their facility as well as those at RPPI for setting this up.”

“We look forward to competing at Delta Center against Utah this season. Having known Coach Alex Jensen personally, I can attest to the respect he’s earned in the basketball community,” said Mississippi State Head Coach, Chris Jans. “He will have his program well-prepared and competing at a high level in his inaugural season. We also appreciate RPPI and the sponsors for their commitment to making this event happen.”

The last time these two teams met on November 17th of last season at the Landers Center in Southaven, MS, Mississippi State defeated Utah 78-73 in a nailbiter performance when the Bulldogs came back from an 11-point halftime deficit. Utah will look for redemption when they host Mississippi State this December, and fans won’t want to miss this exciting rematch.

“RPPI is excited to organize and promote the Salt Lake Showcase this December,” said RPPI President, Zach Franz. “We look forward to an exciting non-conference matchup and a full slate of men’s college hoops for the passionate fans in the Salt Lake region.”

This seating innovation and the recent raising of the arena floor are pivotal elements in completing Phase 1 of 3 in the Delta Center transformation.

BEETHOVEN’S LAST NIGHT VINYL RELEASE COMING ON SEPTEMBER 12

Los Angeles, CA (August 28, 2025) – Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) today unveiled the exciting details for their 2025 Winter Tour, which will bring the multi-platinum rock group to 64 markets for 106 concerts across the country. This year’s tour will feature an all-new production of their beloved “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” alongside a special second set of hits and fan-favorites that includes a 25th-anniversary salute to Beethoven’s Last Night. “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve: the Best of TSO and More” tour promises to continue TSO’s tradition of captivating audiences nationwide with an unparalleled blend of rock, classical, and theatrical spectacle, complete with dazzling pyrotechnics, lasers, and incredible storytelling.

Presales for TSO fan club members begin Thursday, September 4 and Friday, September 5 and presales for other select groups begin on Thursday, September 11 at 10 a.m. local time. The public on sale is set to begin on Friday, September 12 at 10 a.m. local time. For more details on tour dates and ticket sales, visit www.trans-siberian.com.

The 2025 TSO tour promises a reimagined and expanded presentation of the beloved holiday tradition, “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve,” which has captivated multiple generations. A product of the imagination of TSO’s late founder Paul O’Neill and based on TSO’s multi-platinum DVD TV special, “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” follows the journey of a runaway who breaks into an abandoned vaudeville theater on December 24th. Following this powerful rock opera, the 2025 tour will also deliver a high-octane, visually stunning second set packed with more of TSO’s greatest hits, fan-favorites, and unexpected delights.

Musical Director/Guitarist Al Pitrelli said, “When I go back and listen to our songs, I am always amazed at how quickly the time has gone by. It’s been 25 years since we recorded Beethoven’s Last Night and it seems just like yesterday. We are excited to play pieces from the album and pay respects to the art and legacies of both the great composer and Paul O’Neill. I’m looking forward to watching the expressions on everyone’s face, with all the surprises we have in store. We can’t wait to get on the road.”

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s acclaimed rock opera Beethoven’s Last Night is set to make its vinyl debut on September 12. This special 2LP set, which tells the dramatic tale of Ludwig van Beethoven’s final hours, blending his iconic melodies with hard rock and theatrical storytelling, will be available in two distinct editions: an exclusive lenticular cover and a red vinyl pressing. Fans can order their copies now at store.rhino.com/en/rhino-store/artists/trans-siberian-orchestra/  to commemorate this milestone for the beloved album.

TSO is also pleased to announce the return of a fan-favorite tradition: the TSO signing line. For the first time since 2019, every fan attending an evening performance will have the incredible opportunity to get one item signed by members of the group, completely free of charge.

Building on the monumental milestones celebrated in their last tour, TSO continues to redefine its success. With over 20 million concert tickets sold and a staggering more than $20 million donated to charity since their inception, TSO remains one of rock’s most generous bands, proudly upholding Paul O’Neill’s vision, by contributing at least $1 from every ticket sold to local charities.

With an incredible $1 billion in gross sales, TSO’s remarkable and consistent appeal is reflected in recent industry accolades: Pollstar recognized TSO at No. 4 for Top North America Tours and at No. 6 on their Top 100 Worldwide Tours chart by gross for Midyear 2025, while Billboard placed them at No. 5 in Midyear 2025 Top Ticket Sales and No. 13 on the Midyear 2025 Top Tours chart. Adding to their impressive achievements, their iconic hit, “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24,” has just surpassed 100 million streams across digital platforms, further cementing its status as a timeless holiday classic.
